A BeerGater is a brand new product that allows you to have ice cold tap beer on your tailgate without having to rent a keg.
In fact, you can put any beverage on tap without having to rent, buy, or carry around cumbersome equipment. All you need is a cooler, one or two tanks, the tap plate and you’re in business.
The tap plate hangs over the edge of your cooler, truck tailgate or car window – anywhere it will fit – while the tanks sit inside your cooler on ice, delivering cold tap beer for everyone to enjoy.

Of course, you can still fill your own tanks with whatever you want at any time.
Not yet. The BeerGater package consists of the BeerGater plate with 2 taps, 2 pressure tanks, 2 regulators and the hoses needed to hook everything up. It does not include the cooler. We are currently working with cooler companies and will likely be releasing an all-inclusive package in the future.
Maybe. The BeerGater tap plate can hang over the edge of coolers that are at least 15 inches wide. That is the vast majority of coolers currently on the market.
The BeerGater tap plate is 14 inches wide, 11 inches tall with a 3” lip that hangs over your cooler. The pressure tanks are each 7.5 inches square and 12 inches tall.
Each pressure tank has a total capacity of 1 US gallon.
You know it. You can run almost any liquid through a BeerGater. It has been successfully field tested with water, Gatorade, soda, hurricanes, Sangria, and almost every brand of beer you can think of including Molson, Moosehead, Newcastle and Smithwick’s.
The tap plate and empty pressure tanks combined weigh about 4 pounds.
Not completely. However, despite the whining we have received about this, customers who have field tested the BeerGater tell us that there is no noticeable difference in the melting of ice compared to using the cooler for cans because the top stays closed (although not completely sealed) most of the time. Using cans, people are constantly opening the cooler, allowing warm air in more frequently.
Our tests showed that the ice in the cooler lasted well past the 5 hour mark when the cooler had the BeerGater attached.
We have field tested it in Southern California at several kids’ soccer tournaments with Gatorade and water and there was never an issue of the ice melting any faster than average. We’re talking many hours here, folks.
Yes. You much use the threaded ones so they can attach to the pressure regulators.
At fine retailers like Amazon and Wal Mart. Be sure to get the threaded ones so you can attach them to the pressure regulators.
90 days – no questions asked. As long as the BeerGater is in re-sellable condition, it is covered. Shipping is not included.
You know it, eh? As avid beer league hockey players who have lived in Canada, we would never forget our friends north of the border. The shipping is significantly more expensive though.
We are in the final production phase and will have units available for purchase by the mid-to-end of summer, 2025.

BeerGater is back and better than ever.
A few years ago, we started this company and launched the BeerGater to many fans eager to get their hands on one. We went through many challenges – and realized that we needed help, so we decided to take on some partners. One of those partners turned out to be a very serious mistake and it has taken us some time to get back on track and back to production.
We are now in the final stages of releasing our brand new BeerGater design that is excellent in every way and we are proud to be able to offer it to our customers once again.
If you were one of the early responders to our IGG campaign, send us an email and we will put you at the top of the list.
It all started with our idea to create a smaller, more portable tailgating beer dispenser because we were tired of dealing with renting a keg every time we wanted to have a decent tailgate. We couldn’t find anything in the marketplace, so we invented it.
After lots of “garage engineering” and field testing, the BeerGater was born!
